Tips For Positioning Donor Recognition Wall

By Sarah Wilson

Displaying the list of contributors in your fundraising campaign can be a better way of establishing their legacy in your structure. Apart from this, you inspire other potential contributors to donate more when you recognize the efforts of those who contributed earlier. It is even better when you let people who are utilizing the building realize those who contributed to its establishment. Therefore, to enable several people to access the Donor recognition wall, check on the following considerations in its designing and set up.

See if the place is strategically located. The location of the site should be in a position that is easily accessed by several viewers. This avoids the limitation of a particular audience who might not be able to access private locations of the building. Therefore, it is good to ensure that you set up the structure in a place that is not limited to certain people.

The best place could be near the entrance or the exit of the building. This is a point where most people who visit the building can locate and view it without any inconveniences. Similarly, you may consider displaying the list in a more centralized location of the building. It is good to note that in every position you choose to locate it, ensure almost everyone can access it.

See the list of contributors. Ensure the display can accommodate all the members in the list. This is because you do not want to set up a show that is going to leave out the names of other contributors. This will consequently determine the size of the display; for example, a more extensive list automatically demands for a relatively large screen.

Check the chances of updating the list in the future. There is a probability of expanding the inventory in the future when the building is not complete yet there is a need to campaigning for additional funds. Therefore, the list should be flexible enough to accommodate future expansions and any relevant changes that might occur.

Find out the kind of elects that should be featured in the plaque. Different designs and styles demand that particular feature be omitted or included in the plaque. This means that the type of plan you choose to incorporate in your system will determine which information to post. Also, some information about the contributor may be omitted according to his will.

This vital information that should not miss on the plaque includes the name and title of the contributor, the year in which the contribution or the construction was done, the name of the organization or building together with its logo, and the amount contributed by each member. The donated amount is an optional element, and you are free to choose whether to include it in the list or not.

Check the tone of language used in the plaque. Choose a language and tone that will show gratefulness to the contributors' efforts. It is advisable that the words should be highlighting the achievements of the contributor and not your struggles. This is the right way of showing your appreciation to those who contributed significantly in your campaign.
