It is also possible for the effect not to occur at all if the spot is badly prepared and cleaned.

Another problem often results from the curing process. If there is a temperature variation in the oven used for treatment, the results reached will also vary. Thus, oven settings should be checked properly and samples tested in the oven before the final piece is placed inside for treatment.
